Even when you think you’ve seen everything there is to see in the Harry Potter films, it seems there is always more nuggets of Gringotts gold to be unearthed.

From this is he/isn’t he Harry Potter fan theory of Snape’s death, to the time JK Rowling revealed Harry Potter wasn’t actually the first Harry Potter, and the Draco Malfoy deleted scene that will change the way you see him forever, there’s always more to this complex wizarding world than we all first thought. The latest revelation that is blowing our minds is the tiny details in the battle of Hogwarts that you might have missed.

In the final film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow Part 2, we see the protagonist trio and the rest of Dumbledore’s Army show down against Voldemort and his band of Death Eaters and Dementors in what we know as the Battle of Hogwarts.

Obviously we remember Neville becoming the hero with the Gryffindor sword and McGonagall enchanting the statues and suits of armour to protect the school. But in the final fight scene have you ever noticed; while Harry, Ron and Hermione are running through the castle grounds they are dodging curses and explosions but these are what they encounter…

A giant creature tries to smash them, but they hide under a pipe. Mirroring the scene in The Philosopher’s Stone, when Harry and Ron rescue Hermione from a troll in the bathroom.

Then they run from Aragog’s spider offspring. Just like when Harry and Ron come up against the spiders in the forest for the first time in The Chamber of Secrets.

Following this, Hermione launches a spell at the evil werewolf Fenrir Greyback, who had just killed Lavender Brown. And we all know in The Prisoner of Azkaban, we find out that Professor Lupin is in fact a werewolf.

Next they come up against dementors. And although they appeared in the previous film, they were of course a huge antagonist in all movies including The Goblet of Fire.

Then finally the Order all appear – Yep, that The Order of The Phoenix, to find Snape – aka The Half Blood Prince.

So ALL books and films are referenced in this short scene. Coincidence? We think not. Consider your mind officially blown.
