Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, showed the couple in a completely different light. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex usually appear confident and happy in front of the cameras, they opened up about what life is really like behind the scenes with Meghan admitting she is struggling with the pressures of being a newlywed and new mum in the spotlight and Harry addressing the Prince William ‘feud’ rumours.

The documentary was compared to the explosive Panorama interview with Princess Diana in 1995, with royal correspondent Victoria Arbiter calling it ‘perhaps the most insightful interview that we’ve had from a member of the royal family since [Diana’s] … which she really laid her emotions bare.’

During the documentary Harry and Meghan hinted that they may move to South Africa, with the prince telling Tom Bradby: ‘I don’t know where we could live in Africa at the moment. We’ve just come from Cape Town, that would be an amazing place for us to be able to base ourselves, of course it would.

While royal expert Victoria called it a ‘lovely idea’ she also claims it is unlikely for a number of reasons.

‘In the documentary, Meghan talks about the grass always being greener, but there are logistics that come into play when you’re a member of the royal family,’ Victoria explained to The Express.

‘Some of them are a little bit more obvious, so they move to South Africa, so who pays for their security there? Yes, they’re both independently wealthy and they could support themselves there, but is the South African taxpayer suddenly paying for their security, or is the British taxpayer paying for that? Neither party are going to be particularly happy.’

She also expressed concern over the impact on the rest of the royal family, who may see the move as favouritism, adding: ‘Harry and Meghan’s first responsibility is to the 16 nations for which the Queen is head of state – South Africa’s not one of them.

‘It is a Commonwealth nation, but then there are 53 total members of the Commonwealth, so then there’s accusations of favouritism if they’re spending time in South Africa.’

There have been several rumours that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning to leave the UK – it was reported months ago that they could go to South Africa, but many believe they could relocate to the US, while others have speculated that they could go to Canada.

Is a move on the cards for the couple?

Only time will tell…

Since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest documentary aired this weekend, the couple has made headlines across the globe. During Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, Tom Bradby interviewed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on a number of things and they decided to open up in a very unexpected way. Harry spoke about how flashing cameras reminded him of his mother’s death, he addressed the Prince William ‘feud’, and he spoke about how fiercely protective he is of his family and his determination to avoid ‘a repeat of the past’.

Meghan also spoke candidly about life in the spotlight, revealing that her friends warned her that British tabloids would ‘destroy’ her life, and giving an emotional interview admitting that she is finding it difficult to deal with the pressure and constant scrutiny of being in the public eye.

Their honest interviews have been compared to Princess Diana’s explosive Panorama interview in 1995, and it has been reported that William is now worried about them.

However, amidst all the controversy, many viewers missed a very sweet off-camera moment.

During one segment, Meghan talks about how inspiring their trip to Africa has been – but eagle-eyed viewers noticed that in the background Harry can be seen cuddling and rocking baby Archie Harrison to sleep in the reflection of a glass window.

The proud father beamed as he later revealed that little Archie was enjoying the trip, saying: ‘He was looking out the window. He has found his voice now and he was bouncing up and down. He was making more noise than he has ever made before and he is smiling the whole time.’

Cute.

Following the documentary, it was announced that Harry and Meghan are taking a break from public life to focus on their family.

A royal source told The Sunday Times: ‘The duke and duchess have a full schedule of engagements and commitments until mid-November, after which they will be taking some much-needed family time.’

Did you spot Kate Middleton's first ever Instagram post?

Did you spot Kate Middleton's first ever Instagram post?

We hope it’s the first of many!

Last week was a busy one for the royal family, as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Pakistan for a five-day tour – during which Kate Middleton gave her first televised interview since becoming a royal.

The Cambridges weren’t the only royals to make TV appearances last week, though. Meghan Markle admitted that she’s ‘not ok‘ in a documentary following their royal tour of Africa, which also saw Prince Harry address rumours of a feud between he and William. It was later announced that the Sussexes are taking a break from public life next month.

Following the ITV documentary, a source told the BBC that Prince William ‘is worried’ about his brother and wife.

But back to the Duchess of Cambridge, and it was something of a week of firsts for the mum-of-three. She also casually penned and posted her first Instagram post to the world – did you spot it?

Taking to the @kensingtonroyal account, which now has over 10 million followers, Kate posted a heartfelt message following the couple’s visit to an SOS village in Lahore, also the subject of her recent televised interview.

‘The community at the SOS village is built around family – and the best possible family you could imagine – where everyone comes together to nurture, love and protect the children in their care,’ she wrote.

‘These vulnerable children, many of who have come through traumatic circumstances, are nurtured in this caring environment and are able to form these quality relationships that they so desperately need to thrive. – Catherine’

It’s clearly a cause the duchess is very passionate about, as she personally signed off the message, much to the delight of royal fans everywhere.

We hope this is the first post of many we see from the duchess herself!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s latest documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, has made headlines across the globe since it aired on ITV this weekend.

Reporter Tom Bradby accompanied the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on their trip to Africa last month, and in the hour-long documentary he spoke to Harry and Meghan about everything from living life in the spotlight to the rumoured ‘feud’ with Prince William.

Harry spoke openly about his mother, revealing that camera flashes remind him of the late Princess Diana’s death and admitting he is consequently fiercely protective of his family, saying: ‘I will always protect my family, and now I have a family to protect.

‘So everything that she [Diana] went through, and what happened to her, is incredibly important every single day, and that is not me being paranoid, that is just me not wanting a repeat of the past.’

Meghan also gave an emotional interview explaining how difficult the couple has found the constant media scrutiny, admitting that not many people ‘have asked if [she’s] okay’, and commenting on how difficult things can be ‘behind the scenes.’ She also admitted that after publicly announcing her relationship with Harry, friends warned her that the British tabloids ‘will destroy your life’.

Since the documentary aired, it was reported that Harry and Meghan will be taking a break from public life for ‘some much-needed family time’.

Many took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the eye-opening film, wishing the couple well and praising them for their openness and honesty.

Now it seems that William is concerned about his little brother as the BBC reports that he is ‘worried’ for him following the documentary.

According to a Palace source, the Duke of Cambridge hopes that Harry and Meghan ‘are all right’ following a view that the couple were ‘in a fragile place’.

Kensington Palace have not commented on the ITV documentary.

Honest Beauty: Jessica Alba proves clean make-up can look natural

Honest Beauty: Jessica Alba proves clean make-up can look natural

Effective and safe

honest beauty

If you’d asked me before trying Honest Beauty what I thought of clean make-up, I probably would have told you it was best left on a dusty shelf in a health food store.

While the latest natural skincare has ingredient hounds like me purring with delight, the struggle has been real to find a clean make-up line that actually looks natural on my skin.  Coming from someone who is known to rummage through the office bins, diligently separating recycling from regular rubbish, it pains me to say that.

Past experiments with clean make-up have resulted in cream blushers so hard to blend I looked like I was constantly embarrassed. With a few exceptions, I haven’t fared much better with mineral make-up either, as most leave me looking so chalky I could be mistaken for an extra from the movie Twilight. So Honest Beauty has come as a very welcome addition to my make-up bag, not least because Jessica Alba is the creator and who doesn’t want to look like her?

While most people only remember Alba as hip-hop dancing sensation Honey Daniels, Stateside she is renowned for being a serious champion of clean beauty – one free of parabens, mineral oil, synthetic fragrances and other ickies. To be clear, Alba avoids tags like ‘natural’ – her vision for Honest Beauty is to create cosmetics that are as clean as possible and use more natural ingredients and fewer harsh chemicals. To that point, the company also publishes a list of chemicals it won’t allow in its products.

The UK has finally caught on and, after fours years of waiting, Honest Beauty’s collection of skincare and make-up is now available to buy at Boots.

Prince Harry addresses the Prince William 'feud' rumours

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s documentary, Harry & Meghan: An African Journey, aired on ITV this weekend and many have praised the couple for their openness and honesty. They have been heavily criticised in the past, whether for their use of private jets or their Frogmore Cottage home renovations, but the interviews gave the public an insight into what life is really like for the Sussexes.

The couple spoke to reporter Tom Bradby (who joined them on their royal tour in Africa last month) about their lives behind the scenes, with Harry admitting that camera flashes remind him of his mother’s death and Meghan speaking candidly about how she is coping with the pressure of being a newlywed and new mother in the spotlight. The documentary has been eye-opening for both royal fans and critics, and many are defending the couple on social media.

But another subject that Harry decided to touch on was his relationship with Prince William. There have been rumours of a royal ‘feud’ between the brothers – Harry and Meghan officially split from William and Kate’s royal household, William and Kate removed the Sussexes names from their charity, and the ‘Fab Four’ as they were previously known no longer live close by in the Kensington Palace area.

Talking to Bradby during the documentary, Harry said: ‘We are brothers. We will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him as I know he will always be there for me.

‘We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we are so busy but I love him dearly. The majority of the stuff is created out of nothing but as brothers, you know, you have good days, you have bad days.’

So there you have it.

Kate Middleton just gave her first TV interview as a member of the royal family

Kate Middleton just gave her first TV interview as a member of the royal family

Mega milestone alert!

It’s a busy old time for the young royals at the moment, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent tour of Southern Africa, and Prince William and Kate Middleton just back from their visit to Pakistan. That’s a lot of royal tour rules to follow.

Earlier this week, William and Kate’s plane was forced to abort landing twice because of thunderstorms in the area, but that aside it’s still been a jam-packed week in Pakistan for them both.

The royal couple have met the country’s Prime Minister and President, visited an Army Canine Centre, and even managed to squeeze in a game of cricket with children at the National Cricket Academy.

While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge often speak to members of the public and press at public appearances, it’s rare for them to give televised interviews. So rare in fact, the last time they gave one was when they announced their engagement all the way back in 2010. How time flies!

Breaking their nine-year hiatus, however, the couple recently spoke to CNN in a televised interview about their trip, during a visit to a local orphanage.

‘William and I really wanted to come and see an SOS Children’s Village like this,’ Kate told reporter Max Foster. ‘There’s so many vulnerable women here but they really sort of use their positivity, and the support that the village here provides them, really to support and protect the next generation, the children in their care, and give them the best possible start to their future lives.’

Asked how the rest of the trip had been, she continued: ‘It’s been fantastic, we’ve seen a lot of Pakistan, a huge variety, it’s amazing to see some of the geography but then to see some of the community activities like this has been really special.’

Watch the clip in full below.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge concluded their five-day tour of Pakistan on Friday.

Here’s to more Cambridge screen time, we say!

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking a break from public life

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking a break from public life

The Sussexes are going on sabbatical

It’s been a busy year for the Sussex family, what with welcoming their first child and attending various public engagements all over the world.

Most recently, the couple have of course undertaken a royal tour of Southern Africa, having to follow several royal tour rules in the process. A chaotic schedule for any couple, let alone one with a five-month-old baby in tow.

But we can all now breathe a sigh of relief on their behalf, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reportedly take a six week break in the run up to Christmas, starting next month. Completely understandable, especially given that Meghan admitted she’s ‘not ok’ in a recent TV interview.

We’re also glad to hear that Meghan will be visiting her mum, Doria Ragland, during her and Prince Harry’s break. It’s thought that the timing means that Meghan and Harry will spend Thanksgiving with Archie’s grandmother, before returning to the UK to spend Christmas here.

This of course also means that Archie will be visiting the US for the first time! Adorable.

News of the couple’s break comes a few weeks after announcing they would be taking legal action against select UK publications.

‘I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces,’ Prince Harry wrote in a statement published on the Sussex Official website at the time. ‘I have been a silent witness to her private suffering for too long. To stand back and do nothing would be contrary to everything we believe in.

‘We thank you, the public, for your continued support. It is hugely appreciated. Although it may not seem like it, we really need it.’

Here’s to the couple enjoying some much-needed time off and putting their feet up for a bit.

So Jennifer Aniston has been on Instagram a lot longer than we thought

So Jennifer Aniston has been on Instagram a lot longer than we thought

Say what, Jen?

Unless you’ve been living in the dark ages, you’ll have heard the news that Jennifer Aniston finally joined Instagram this week. (Yaaass!)

The 50-year-old actress became the fastest Instagram account holder to reach 1 million followers, knocking previous record-holders Prince Harry and Meghan Markle off the top spot before you could say Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor.

It took Jen a cool five hours and one minute to reach the milestone, while the Suxxexes lag slightly behind at five hours 45 minutes. We hope they’re not too disappointed.

Despite previously saying she’ll never be on social media, it looks like our girl Jen had a change of heart, choosing the Friends cast reunion pic we all needed as her first post.

But despite the furore surrounding the former Friends star’s, it looks like the lady has been on Instagram a while longer than we realise. Yep, Jen actually had a secret Instagram account long before we cottoned on to her social media presence.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live earlier this week, the actress said she didn’t know why she had chosen now to finally sign up to the gram. ‘What you resist persists!’ she shrugged.

Jen then admitted to being on Instagram for a while before her public page went live, so that she could suss the platform and its users out a bit. ‘It was a stalker account,’ she confessed. ‘I was thinking about doing this; I figured it was time to understand the world and dip my toe into the social media pool.’ Cheeky.

‘I have to do more [posts] now I guess!’ she added.

We look forward to seeing a lot more lols Jennifer Aniston Instagram content in the weeks to come.

Earlier this week, Jennifer Aniston officially joined Instagram and consequently broke the app. No, really, she did. The app crashed while Jen An was accumulating millions of followers after posting her very first picture.

And what was the snap that caused the chaos? A Friends reunion photo, naturally.

Posing for a selfie alongside her Friends co-stars, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer, she captioned the shot: ‘And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too. HI INSTAGRAM!’

In just three days, Jennifer has amassed 14.2 million followers and her first post has racked up a staggering 13.5 million likes.

Friends fans will be there for you, it seems, when you decide to hop aboard the social media train.

And many of them have some questions for Jennifer. While she recently revealed which MAC lipstick Rachel always wore (it’s a 90s favourite), there are more pressing issues, such as: what happened to Ross and Rachel?

After years of ‘Will they? Won’t they?’, various attempts at a relationship, getting married in Vegas, Rachel deciding to date Joey (still not quite sure about that one), the couple were finally getting together at the end of the final season.

But what have they been up to since the show wrapped fifteen years ago? Are they married, loving life in the suburbs with five kids and a dog? Or have they – take a breath – called it a day?

Well, if you’re a huge Ross and Rachel fan, you might want to stop reading here.

‘ARE YOU AND ROSS STILL TOGETHER?!’ former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe commented on the photo.

Jen An’s response?

‘Well, we’re on a break.’

*Sound of hearts breaking everywhere.*
